Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Lucas Christian Academy Warriors and fell 61-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Cornerstone Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-26 back in January.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Lee, who went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points and three steals, and Elijah Porfirio, who posted five points. That's the most points Porfirio has posted since back in February of 2024. Parker Lee also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Cornerstone Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Lucas Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-19.

Cornerstone Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 63-61 victory against Heritage Christian on the 28th. As for Lucas Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-15 win against Einstein on the 27th.
