Softball Recap: Cloverleaf Colts vs. Woodridge Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Field, Cloverleaf was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Woodridge Bulldogs 7-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cloverleaf also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Alyson Croft made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits. Croft has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Croft was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Aubrey Willig was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Zoe Brezina was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
