Softball Recap: Perry Bluejays vs. Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs
Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 last Tuesday.
Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Erickson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Cate Erickson was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will square off against Glidden-Ralston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will be playing at home against East Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
