Volleyball Recap: Viewmont's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Viewmont waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Woods Cross Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Viewmont won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 25-20.

Carson Tovey paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 19 kills. Tovey got some help from Dallin Lether and his 34 assists. Tovey was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Viewmont's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for Woods Cross, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-13 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Viewmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Woods Cross will square off against rival Bonneville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
