Softball Recap: Logan County Takes a Loss

Logan County fell victim to Trigg County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Cougars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Addison Cartas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Logan County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Trigg County, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan County will face off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trigg County, they will venture away from home to take on Hopkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
