Softball Recap: Prairie Falcons vs. WF West Bearcats

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Linn, Prairie was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the WF West Bearcats by a score of 10-5. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 9-3 win the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Mackenzie Moore was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Prairie let Kayla Scholl and Kellie Cady run wild. Scholl scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5, while Cady went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
