Volleyball Recap: Midwest City Comes Up Short

Midwest City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Putnam City West Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss last Friday.

Midwest City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-21-1. As for Putnam City West, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Putnam City West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Putnam City North on the 3rd. Hopefully Midwest City paid attention to the Patriots' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Patriots on Saturday.
