Chattanooga Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marion County Warriors. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Pounders' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Marion County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.

For Marion County's part, Eli Thacker was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Thacker has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Holback, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Chattanooga Central has already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Heritage on the 5th. As for Marion County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against McMinn Central on the 5th.
