Softball Recap: Grayson County Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Grayson County barely beat Galax the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils put the hurt on the Maroon Tide with a sharp 11-1 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Devils have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grayson County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Galax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Grayson County will challenge rival Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Galax is set to face off against their familiar foe Bland County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
