Basketball Game Preview: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Mitchell County Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Manchester Blue Devils will get right back to it and host the Mitchell County Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Manchester is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenville 67-39. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-12.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mitchell County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 62-61 photo finish over Seminole County. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Indians are ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
