Softball Recap: Uvalde Takes a Loss

Uvalde lost against Pearsall back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

JACE ORTEGON was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Uvalde now has a losing record of 12-13-1. As for Pearsall, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Uvalde is set to challenge their familiar foe Floresville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pearsall will face off against rival Carrizo Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
