Softball Recap: Mountain View Christian Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Mountain View Christian finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Indian Springs Thunderbirds, falling 18-2. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Keiva Feingold was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

Mountain View Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Indian Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will face off against GV Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Indian Springs, they will challenge Beatty at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Thunderbirds' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Hornets have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
