Volleyball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Admiral Farragut can now relate to. They came up short against the Shorecrest Prep Chargers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Admiral Farragut was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-22.

Leila Bakken paced Admiral Farragut's offense, picking up six kills. Bakken really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Naomi McDowell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Admiral Farragut has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Shorecrest Prep, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Admiral Farragut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shorecrest Prep, they will square off against Northside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
