Volleyball Recap: Blue Valley Takes a Loss

Blue Valley lost against Onaga last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Blue Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 29-27.

Lydia Dumler paced Blue Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Dumler got some help from Allie Dumler and her 13 assists. Morgan Sump and Bralynn Brockman kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Blue Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-22 record this season. As for Onaga, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.

Blue Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Onaga, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hanover on the 14th.
