Basketball Recap: Southern Christian Gets the Win

Southern Christian hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost six straight) but thanks in part to Cole Johnson that streak is no more. The Southern Christian Patriots took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 68-31 victory over the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors thanks in part to Johnson, who went 8 of 17 en route to 20 points along with eight boards and seven assists. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Jedd Scott was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Southern Christian's record now sits at 8-9. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
