Recap: Wildwood Wildcats vs. Lake Mary Prep Griffins        
        
		
            
 If the Wildwood Wildcats were feeling good  off their  62-24 takedown of the St. John Lutheran Saints last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wildwood fell just short of Lake Mary Prep by a score of  64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Despite the  defeat, Wildwood saw an underclassman step up:  Zayden Garcia  scored 20 points along with two  steals. Garcia hasn't dropped below 19 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Terriyon Bryant, who  scored 13 points along with six  rebounds.
 Lake Mary Prep's win  on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Wade Brashears, who  scored 17 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals. Brashears has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's  played.  Cael Ogden was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 11 points and 11  rebounds.
 Wildwood has  not been sharp recently as the team's  lost nine of their last ten matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Lake Mary Prep, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
 Wildwood will square off against Dixie County at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Wildwood is coming into the  match with three straight  losses on the road,  meaning Dixie County will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Lake Mary Prep focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
