Volleyball Recap: Hidden Valley Titans vs. Grafton Clippers
Hidden Valley extended their postseason success on Saturday against Grafton. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Grafton Clippers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
One reason for the win was Hidden Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 25-19.
Caleigh Ponn paced Hidden Valley's offense, picking up 20 kills. Ponn got some help from
Calli Anderson and her 40 assists. Anderson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with
Lauren Dudley, racking up two apiece.
Grafton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Allyson Burke, who had ten digs. Burke is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last nine games she's played. Kaylie Klemm was another key player, getting four digs and 15 assists.
The victory (which was Hidden Valley's third in a row) raised their record to 29-2. As for Grafton, their defeat ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 26-3.
As of now, neither Hidden Valley nor Grafton have any future games scheduled.
