Thursday just wasn't the day for Waccamaw's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 13-0 walloping at the hands of the Loris Lions on Thursday. Waccamaw has struggled against Loris recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

For Loris' part, Jessie Cartrette made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Cartrette was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
