Volleyball Recap: Ponte Vedra's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Ridgeview on Thursday, Ponte Vedra came back down to earth. The Sharks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carrollwood Day Patriots on Friday. The loss put an end to the Sharks' undefeated start to the season.

Lily Keeley paced Ponte Vedra's offense, picking up seven kills. Keeley got some help from Haydin Froehlich and her 17 assists. Finally, Ellie Decker kept Ponte Vedra's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Ponte Vedra's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Carrollwood Day, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Ponte Vedra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Lake Highland Prep on the 29th. As for Carrollwood Day, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Daphne on the 29th.
