Soccer Recap: Bartow Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Bartow pushed their score to eight the last time they played Ridge Community, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Bartow Yellow Jackets never let the Ridge Community Bolts onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Yellow Jackets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bartow pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five matchups. As for Ridge Community, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10-1.

Bartow is taking a road trip to challenge Davenport at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Davenport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season. As for Ridge Community, they will host Winter Haven at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridge Community's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
