Odessa had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Austin Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 59-41.

Odessa's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odessa will square off against Snyder at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Odessa is facing Snyder at the right time seeing as Snyder is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Austin, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
