Two dominant guards in Mykah Collier-Fisher and Whitney Cameron are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Lake George Lakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Corinth Riverhawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lake George will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Whitehall, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Lake George skirted past Whitehall 31-29.

Collier-Fisher continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last four times she's played. Madyson Brennan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Lake George smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 35 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Corinth came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over the Burgers. The Riverhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.
Lake George better focus on containing Cameron and Sage Shanahan as the pair were huge in Corinth's win. Cameron posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Shanahan almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Corinth is 12-4 when Shanahan posts eight or more boards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Heather Pita, who put up eight points and three steals.
Corinth pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. As for Lake George, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lake George has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 44.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Corinth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
