Bellevue East has gone a perfect 4-0 against Westview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Chieftains will take on the Wolverines in a tournament on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bellevue East's last matchup with Columbus could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Chieftains lost 11-2 to the Discoverers. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellevue East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Myers, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Bayler Truax also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Westview faced Elkhorn South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wolverines came up short against the Storm, falling 11-3. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Bellevue East, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Bellevue East was able to grind out a solid victory over Westview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
