Softball Game Preview: Hall Titans vs. Newington Nor'easters

The Hall Titans will take on the Newington Nor'easters at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hall is coming into the match on a 17-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Things were looking good for Hall after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 20-2 to East Catholic.

Meanwhile, Newington scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of RHAM by a score of 23-22. The Nor'easters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Stegmaier and Kiley Connors did some serious damage despite the final result: Stegmaier went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Connors got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Stegmaier also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Rossi, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Newington's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
