Baseball Recap: Union Hill Falls Short of Avalon in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Union Hill can now relate to. They fell just short of the Avalon Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Union Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9-1 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Avalon, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9-1.

As of now, neither Union Hill nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
