Football Recap: Hico Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Hico challenged De Leon on Friday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 56-27 loss at the hands of the Bearcats. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

De Leon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heston Jobe, who threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Jobe is becoming a predictor of the Bearcats' success: when he posts at least 250 passing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Colt Schwertner was in the mix as well, providing De Leon with two TDs.

Hico's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for De Leon, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hico didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-27 loss against Bangs on the 17th. As for De Leon, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-0 win against Coleman on the 17th.
