Softball Preview: Olympus Titans vs. Clearfield Falcons

Olympus' tournament run continued when they took on Cedar Valley on Friday. Olympus narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cedar Valley 8-6.
Mya Palcher and Jocelyn Stern did most of the damage at the plate: Palcher went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Stern went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Stern has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Comer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Clearfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Sky View by a score of 2-1. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Clearfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenna Lloyd, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Having lost for the first time this season, Clearfield fell to 2-1. As for Olympus, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
