Basketball Recap: Riverview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Riverview was the 42-32 winner over Freedom when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Sharks fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 51-48 on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Riverview still got an impressive performance from Chirstopher Almonte, who went 6-for-11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds. Almonte is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jaiden Woodson was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Serigme Thiam, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 15 points along with six boards and four steals for Freedom. The dominant performance also gave Thiam a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Elijah Dye, who posted ten points.

Riverview now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Freedom, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Riverview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-40 loss against Bloomingdale on the 5th. As for Freedom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 defeat against Chamberlain on the 5th.
