Basketball Recap: Highlands Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Highlands won the last time they faced Lindhurst and K O Butler did his part to make sure it happened again. The Scots put the hurt on the Blazers with a sharp 62-36 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Butler, who went 12-for-16 to rack up 25 points and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Rodney Jackson, who posted three points in addition to 16 rebounds and three steals. Highlands is undefeated when Jackson posts ten or more boards, but 4-5 otherwise.

Highlands has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Lindhurst, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Coming up, Highlands will challenge Rio Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Scots will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.35 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lindhurst, they will square off against Vacaville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
