Soccer Recap: Elbert County Comes Up Short

Elbert County was the 5-0 winner over Lincoln County when they last played one another back in February of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils lost 7-1 to the Red Devils on Tuesday.

Elbert County's goal came courtesy of Jibril Engelhardt, which was the first he's scored this season.

Elbert County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lincoln County, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Looking ahead, Elbert County will host Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will venture away from home to take on Lake Oconee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give Lincoln County their first taste of in-conference action this season.
