Recap: Cane Bay Cobras vs. Hanahan Hawks
The Cane Bay Cobras waltzed into their match Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Hanahan 61-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cane Bay also won the last time the pair played back in November.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cane Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Smalls, who scored 15 points along with five steals. The contest was Smalls' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Curtrell Dixon, who scored nine points along with eight steals.
Hanahan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Maduro, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Jonah Auckenthaler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Cane Bay's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Hanahan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Cane Bay will finish 2023 at home by hosting Howard at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Hanahan will take on West Ashley in a holiday battle at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at.
