Basketball Game Preview: Eastridge Lancers vs. Gates Chili Spartans

The Eastridge Lancers will venture away from home to challenge the Gates Chili Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastridge has five straight victories, Gates Chili has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Eastridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Rochester Prep to the tune of 76-9 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Gates Chili lost 62-36 to Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday.

Eastridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Gates Chili, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Eastridge was able to grind out a solid win over Gates Chili in their previous matchup back in January, winning 68-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
