Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Cueva). Everything went their way against the Capital Jaguars on Wednesday as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering La Cueva's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Capital are ranked 56th).

La Cueva's offense was hitting Capital from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Makena Hix led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

La Cueva is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matchups. As for Capital, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
