Basketball Recap: Lely Gets the Win

If Immokalee wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lely, they should've done a better job of containing Fara Louissaint. The Lely Trojans breezed by the Immokalee Indians to the tune of 60-15 on Friday thanks in part to Louissaint, who went 7 of 8 en route to 17 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Reese McLaughlin, who posted four points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those five boards gave her a new career-high.

The win got Lely back to even at 5-5. As for Immokalee, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Lely will look to defend their home court on Friday against Seacrest Country Day at 2:30 p.m. As for Immokalee, they will head out to take on Island Coast at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
