Ayden Starr gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March of 2024 on Monday. Nobody could stop him as he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Starr's effort led Jackson North Side over Madison and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson North Side is 8-2 against Madison going back to March of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
