Softball Recap: Stockton Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Stockton dropped their record down to 14-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 9-0 to the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 10-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for El Dorado Springs, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games.

For El Dorado Springs' part, Lacyn Perrodin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Perrodin has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Lily Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Sage McCullough was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Stockton will venture away from home to challenge Marionville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Dorado Springs has already played their next contest (against Early), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
