Volleyball Recap: Palmer Trinity Takes Down Somerset Academy South Homestead in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Palmer Trinity had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Palmer Trinity was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-14.

Leading Palmer Trinity to victory were Bianca Blanco and Kimberly Freer. Blanco had two aces and one block, while Freer had 11 digs. Blanco has been hot for a while, having also posted 16 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Palmer Trinity was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matches.
