Basketball Game Preview: Brantley Bulldogs vs. Luverne Tigers

Brantley hasn't had much luck against Luverne recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Brantley Bulldogs will welcome the Luverne Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Brantley sitting on three straight wins and Luverne on seven.

Last Tuesday, Brantley was able to grind out a solid victory over Goshen, taking the game 44-35.

It was another big night for Myia Mount, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 boards. Those 12 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CoCo Stamps, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Luverne made easy work of New Brockton on Tuesday and carried off a 54-32 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Luverne pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Brantley, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
