After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lighthouse Christian Academy, Columbus Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Seven Oaks Classical Firehawks with a sharp 3-0 win. The Crusaders were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Firehawks, so the Crusaders were just returning the favor.

Columbus Christian was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 25-20.

Bella Fredericksen paced Columbus Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Fredericksen got some help from Abby Dora and her seven assists. Dora was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Columbus Christian's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Seven Oaks Classical, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Columbus Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crothersville at 7:15 p.m. on the 30th. Seven Oaks Classical has already played their next game (against Pleasant View Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
