After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Jena brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Hackberry Mustangs on Saturday as they made off with a 14-2 win. Considering the Giants have won 16 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Cayden Mursch was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Jenkins, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Jena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They are 16-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Jena pushed their record up to 21-10 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Hackberry, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jena beat the Mustangs by a score of 11-1 later that day.
