Flag Football Recap: Elizabeth Cardinals vs. Lakewood Tigers

Elizabeth suffered their biggest loss since September 16th on Thursday. They were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of the Lakewood Tigers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cardinals were not able to get on the board.

Lacy Antinora threw for 112 yards on ten of 33 attempts. Olivia King was her top target, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Lakewood found their leader in sophomore Saylor Slaughter, who threw for 170 yards and five TDs while completing 82.1% of her passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Nat Warren also helped with two scores in total.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Lakewood, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Elizabeth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 19-14 defeat against Vista Ridge on the 10th. As for Lakewood, they have also already played their next contest, a 33-0 victory against Standley Lake on the 11th.
