Sadly, North Forsyth is still looking for their first win of the season after eight matches. They fell just short of the Parkland Mustangs by a score of 9-8 on Monday. North Forsyth was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parkland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Jayden Ottley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Omarr Nichols, who scored two runs while getting on base in all two of his plate appearances.

Even though they lost, North Forsyth didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 14 strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.

On Parkland's side, Diego Rivadeneyra was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Rivadeneyra was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

As for Parkland, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against R.J. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. R.J.
