Football Recap: Morgan County Has No Trouble Against Westside + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Morgan County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Westside Seminoles 29-8 on Friday. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Christian Monfort produced another solid performance rushing for 103 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Monfort is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Alex Corrias helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morgan County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Morgan County's record is now 11-0. As for Westside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Morgan County will face off against Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
