Jeremiah Kavanah made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Tyson Hilliard was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Shaw, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Merritt Island Christian only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, Orlando Christian Prep was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Calvary Chapel Academy as Orlando Christian Prep made off with a 15-5 victory.
Like Geneva, Orlando Christian Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Eli Embriz. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Embriz was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Orlando Christian Prep got a massive performance out of Jorge Martinez, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Martinez a new career-high in doubles (two). Carter Reis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Geneva's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Orlando Christian Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Geneva has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game.
