Volleyball Recap: Our Lady Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Taylor Henley and Madeline Piazza

Our Lady Academy was the 2-0 winner over Oak Grove when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crescents fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Our Lady Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 17-15.

Our Lady Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madeline Piazza, who had 12 digs, and Taylor Henley, who hit 56.2% for 11 kills and eight digs and two blocks. Henley is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.

Our Lady Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oak Grove, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
