Baseball Game Preview: Chippewa Chipps vs. Mogadore Wildcats

The Chippewa Chipps will head out on the road to square off against the Mogadore Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chippewa is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

While Chippewa's victory against Central Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chipps sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Comets on Thursday. Four seems to be a good number for the Chipps as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mogadore's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 11-1 to John F. Kennedy Catholic.

Chippewa pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Mogadore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
