Volleyball Recap: East Duplin Starts Season with Victory at Home

East Duplin took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Richlands Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

East Duplin was led to victory by Kinsey Cave and Karsyn Parker. Cave had nine assists and eight kills, while Parker had six digs and three aces. Cave is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Duplin will head out to take on Wallace-Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richlands, they will take on South Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
