Baseball Recap: Foundation Academy Takes a Loss

Foundation Academy lost to Umatilla back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell 11-8 to the Bulldogs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Charlie Capozzoli and Gavin Badua did some serious damage despite the final result: Capozzoli got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Badua got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Foundation Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Umatilla, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foundation Academy will face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Umatilla, they will square off against The Villages Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
