The Sun Valley Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 63-55 to Parkwood. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the loss, Sun Valley still got an impressive performance from Nathan Tavares, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Devin Sumpter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Cameron McKinney was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for Parkwood. That makes it six consecutive games in which McKinney has scored at least 25% of Parkwood's points. Another player making a difference was Greg Vinson, who scored 11 points.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Parkwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
