Softball Recap: Jasper Bulldogs vs. Lumberton Raiders

Jasper lost to Lumberton on March 4th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Jasper was the clear victor by a 15-9 margin over Lumberton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Bulldogs have posted against the Raiders since February 17, 2018.

Abby Wilgus was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kinsi Durham was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Wilgus wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jasper kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
